Job summary

Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding ASA in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a GL Accountant to oversee end-to-end general ledger activities and ensure compliant reporting for group and statutory purposes. You will support statutory reporting, perform month-end closes, and coordinate internal and external audits.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 2–5 years of accounting experience in a similar GL environment, with strong Excel and ERP system skills. Hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–5 years of experience in finance accounting and reporting.
• Experience in a General Ledger environment is advantageous.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and ERP systems (e.g. IFS, SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Additional European/Middle Eastern/Asian language skills are advantageous.
• High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Ability to multitask.

Who we are looking for

We’re looking for a GL Accountant to oversee end-to-end GL activities and ensure accurate, compliant reporting for Group and statutory purposes.

Who you will report to

The position reports to GL Team Leader.

What you will work on

• Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Support statutory reporting and tax filings (where required)
• Handle end-to-end GL bookkeeping and monthly journal entries
