Job summary

OPW Global in Malaysia seeks a logistics coordination professional to manage international consignments, arrange transport, and ensure compliant import/export documentation. You will liaise with customers and internal teams to optimize cost and timing in a global supply chain.

The role focuses on arranging transport, preparing consignments, and ensuring accurate invoicing and system updates, with onsite work and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience in arranging international transport and consignments.
• Know-how of INCO terms, payment methods and tax exemption rules.
• Ability to calculate transport costs and coordinate with project management.
• Strong communication with customers and internal departments.

Responsibilities

• Arranging transport in a timely manner when purchase and delivery take place
• Preparing consignments by gathering quotes and options, and requesting quotes for outsourcings
• Knowledge in INCO terms and payment method & Tax exemption
• Cost calculations for consignments for project management of the company and abroad
• Organizing and coordinating international consignments with customers and negotiating transport orders
• Checking incoming freight invoices against price agreements prior to shipment
• Handling import and export procedures, authentication, customs documentation
• Maintaining compliance with customs regulations and government bodies (MITI, MIDA, COO, Form E, MAFTA)
• Monitoring shipment progress and updating customer service
• Documenting deviations and adjusting processes as needed
• Informing customer service of progress and acting as main contact for changes
• Data entry and record maintenance in company systems for visibility to stakeholders
• Taking on ad-hoc tasks and duties as assigned
