Job summary

Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking a senior project execution leader to manage large and complex projects fromTendering to execution in a high-stakes environment in Malaysia.

You will oversee safety, quality, schedule and budget, while coordinating with global teams to deliver customer value. The role requires a master’s in engineering and 15+ years of operations experience in system projects, with strong leadership, English fluency, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering.
• 15+ years of experience as an operations/project execution leader in system projects.
• Deep knowledge of Grid and Power Quality markets.
• Experience managing Operations processes end-to-end.
• Experience in multicultural or global environments is a plus.
• Familiar with project management platforms and controls.
• Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel.
• Strong leadership, communication and coaching skills.
• Customer focus and quality emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Lead Large and Complex projects from Tendering to Execution.
• Ensure scope delivery as planned and forecast accuracy, risk and financial results.
• Prioritize HSE, safety and project integrity across the team.
• Organize and staff the project organization and build high-performing teams.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with desired margins and cash.
• Monitor and control project financials to protect contract margins.
• Identify opportunities for customer satisfaction and project growth.
• Ensure compliance with global/local standards and risk management.
