Job summary

EdgeConneX in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an IT Administrator to be the primary regional contact for device preparation, endpoint management, and IT support across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas. This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur.

You will build and maintain Windows and macOS devices, manage Intune and Jamf Pro, oversee Microsoft 365 services, and collaborate with global IT peers to ensure secure, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a System Administrator or IT Support role.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro for endpoint management.
• Solid understanding of Windows 10/11 and macOS administration.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and configure Windows and macOS devices for new hires and device refresh cycles following standardised build procedures.
• Manage the full device lifecycle from procurement and imaging through deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning.
• Maintain accurate device inventory and asset records across regional office locations.
• Handle hardware logistics including shipping, receiving, and tracking of devices to employees and offices.
• Administer Microsoft Intune for Windows device management including Autopilot enrollment, compliance policies, configuration profiles, and application deployment.
• Administer Jamf Pro for macOS device management including enrollment, policies, and software deployment.
• Ensure all managed devices remain compliant with corporate security standards and troubleshoot enrollment and policy issues as they arise.
• Support patching and software update cycles across Windows and macOS fleets.
• Serve as the regional Tier 2 and Tier 3 escalation point for hardware, software, and connectivity issues, with Tier 1 handled by the outsourced MSP.
• Manage and prioritise the regional ticket queue daily, ensuring timely resolution within agreed SLA timeframes.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes including account provisioning, device setup, and access management.
• Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to the MSP to reduce escalation volume.
• Administer Microsoft 365 including Teams, Outlook, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
• Support collaboration tools including Zoom, Box, Lucid, and Atlassian Cloud.
• Manage SSO-integrated applications via Microsoft Entra ID including Autodesk, Docusign, and other business-critical platforms.
• Maintain knowledge base documentation for end-users and the MSP.
• Support regional IT procurement including raising purchase requests, coordinating hardware orders, and tracking deliveries.
• Liaise with local vendors for hardware repair, warranty claims, and equipment replacement.
• Coordinate with the Senior Systems Manager to ensure purchases align with corporate standards and approved vendor lists.
• Work with the Cybersecurity team to support endpoint compliance, vulnerability remediation, and security policy enforcement.
• Collaborate with the Infrastructure team on network, VPN, and hybrid identity topics impacting end-users.
• Partner with HR on employee lifecycle events to ensure timely onboarding and offboarding execution.
• Coordinate with global IT peers to maintain consistent device standards and procedures across regions.
• Actively use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude AI to work more efficiently, automate repetitive tasks, and improve day-to-day IT workflows.
• Proactively identify opportunities to apply AI within IT operations and support processes.
