Coherent in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a finance accounting professional to support the monthly close, prepare journal entries, and reconcile GL accounts. The role requires clear communication with overseas partners and adherence to SOPs within a hybrid working setup.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Accounting with 1–2 years of experience or a fresh graduate, and possesses strong English writing and speaking skills to collaborate with global finance teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting with 1–2 years of accounting experience
• Able to work under minimum supervision and meet deadlines
• Excellent English speaking and writing skills
• Able to communicate effectively with partners in foreign countries

Responsabilités

• Support the monthly close for the global finance organization.
• Prepare recurring and one-time journal entries for the monthly close.
• Reconcile General Ledger balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Ensure SOP is created and kept up to date.
• Support standardization and process improvements per company policy.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting reports and analyses as requested by Corporate Finance.
• Support internal and external audit and tax requests.
