Job summary

CooperVision is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead end-to-end GL, inventory, intercompany and fixed assets accounting for the APAC region. The role emphasizes governance, SOX controls, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities include ownership of monthly close, inventory valuation, intercompany transactions, and fixed asset lifecycle management, with a focus on process improvements and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; professional certification (CPA/ACCA) is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger (GL) processes, financial controls, and ERP systems.
• Proven ability to resolve complex accounting issues with root-cause analysis.
• Proficiency in reporting/analytic tools (Power BI, Excel) for month-end close tracking.
• Experience in GBSC/global shared services environment preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Close, GL ownership: monthly, quarterly, year-end close, and financial reporting.
• Inventory accounting ownership: valuation, obsolescence, cut-off adherence.
• Intercompany and fixed assets accounting management and reporting.
• Monitor and review close metrics, prepare monthly statements and working capital metrics.
• Governance, SOX controls, and compliance across GL processes.
• Drive process improvement and automation across R2R processes.
• Partner with AP, AR, FP&A and local controllers to support business goals.
• Other duties as assigned by APAC Accounting Director; OT during close periods.
