Job summary

DHL Express in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Gateway Operations Supervisor to lead a rostered shift, ensuring shipments enter and exit the country safely and efficiently. You will oversee warehouse processes, monitor performance, and drive service standards across the operation.

Qualifications

Diploma or equivalent required or higher.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Valid Driving License and Forklift License (preferred).
Experience in warehouse supervision is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Supervise a gateway operations team on a rostered shift ensuring shipments enter/exit per procedures.
Manage warehouse processes to maximize speed and efficiency while meeting service standards.
Monitor ground handler and warehouse performance and complete reports.
Coordinate equipment checks for proactive maintenance.
Plan manning levels to meet productivity targets.
Evaluate procedures to improve service and cost performance; support quality initiatives.
Monitor operations to ensure procedures and performance standards are met.
Enforce shipment security measures and controls.
Develop a culture of quality, service excellence, flexibility and cost consciousness.
Identify training needs and career development opportunities for the team.
Develop KPIs with team members and monitor performance.
