Job summary

Swift in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Event Operations professional to join our global events team. You will support major events like Sibos-related activities and internal Swift community events, coordinating with venues, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

The role blends administration with hands-on event operations, offering growth within Swift’s global events ecosystem and potential involvement in regional editions such as Sibos 2027 in Asia.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in an event management environment, ideally within a corporate setting; agency-side experience is also valued.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the event planner or client to understand the event’s vision, goals and theme. Ensure operations align with objectives.
• Obtain permits in advance to comply with local laws (e.g., alcohol, food handling, large gatherings).
• Prepare for potential issues and develop backup plans for weather, vendor no-shows, or technical failures.
• Coordinate event timelines with a project plan and ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
• Manage budgets, track expenses, process invoices, and payments for services rendered.
• Maintain vendor relationships and ensure timely communications across internal teams, venues, and suppliers.
