Job summary

OneEmpower is seeking an experienced accountant to manage the full sets of accounts for its Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Australia subsidiaries from its Kuala Lumpur office. You will oversee intercompany reconciliations across entities and liaise with auditors for statutory audits and tax filings.

Expertise in ACCA/ISCA/CPA or related field is required, with at least five years of multi-entity accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Degree or ACCA/ISCA/CPA or related field with relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience handling FULL SETS of Accounts across multiple entities.
• Good knowledge of statutory tax and compliance requirements across Malaysia, Hong Kong and Australia, or willingness to learn
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable adopting AI tools to improve efficiency
• Experience in, or willingness to take on, general office administration and HR administrative support duties

Responsibilities

• Manage the full set of accounts for Malaysia, Hong Kong and Australia subsidiaries, including intercompany reconciliations across group entities
• Generate weekly Cashflow reports
• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents on audit queries and prepare schedules for statutory audit and tax filing
• Responsible for the annual statutory filings for the Malaysia entities, in coordination with corporate secretarial agents, and maintain the statutory registers
• Provide general office administrative support for the respective entities
• Provide HR administrative support, including onboarding / offboarding documentation, in coordination with the HR team
• Use Microsoft Excel and AI tools to improve the efficiency and accuracy of reconciliations, reporting and data processing
• Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc reports or requests from internal and external sources
