CEKAP LINK TECH SDN. BHD. seeks a skilled GIS Engineer to transform raw geospatial data into clean, reliable information and build maps and platforms for logistics and address projects.
You’ll manage the full GIS lifecycle, from data processing to maintaining the WebGIS platform, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. You’ll work across projects, collaborating with clients to tailor GIS solutions, perform advanced spatial analysis, and publish services.
As our GIS Engineer, you'll turn raw geospatial data into clean, reliable, usable information, and build the maps and platforms that our logistics and address projects run on. You'll work across the full GIS lifecycle: processing spatial data, building spatial databases, producing analysis and maps, and keeping our WebGIS platform running smoothly. Every project you deliver helps real businesses make better decisions — whether it's routing, site selection, or address verification at scale.
Key responsibilities
Collect, clean, correct, merge, convert, and topology-check geospatial data — both vector and raster
Design and build spatial databases (schema, ingestion, updates, daily maintenance) to keep data complete, accurate, timely, and standardized
Establish standardized data processing workflows
Participate in GIS information projects, logistics projects, and address database projects — from requirement research, solution design, and implementation to acceptance and delivery
Independently deploy GIS systems, publish map services, debug functionality, and adapt to business scenarios
Work with clients to deliver GIS solutions that fit their needs and go live successfully
Perform spatial operations such as overlay analysis, buffer analysis, road network analysis, site selection analysis, and terrain analysis
Produce standardized electronic maps, thematic maps, and business visualization maps — optimizing map styling, layer classification, and symbol design
Maintain the WebGIS platform day to day — bug fixes, performance optimization, and version iterations
Write technical materials — data processing manuals, project implementation plans, technical specifications, acceptance reports, and operations documentation
About you
Bachelor's degree or above; majors in Geographic Information Science, Surveying & Mapping Engineering, Remote Sensing, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or related fields preferred
Solid understanding of GIS fundamentals — spatial data models, map projections, topological relationships, and coordinate system transformation
Proficient with mainstream GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, SuperMap)
Strong across the full workflow of vector/raster data processing, topology checks, spatial analysis, and thematic mapping
Familiar with databases (PostGIS, MySQL, Oracle) — spatial database setup, index optimization, data querying, and batch processing
Knowledge of coordinate systems, projection transformation, tile cutting, and map service publishing (WMS / WFS / TMS)
Able to deliver projects independently; logical, meticulous, and rigorous — with strict quality control over data accuracy and project output
Strong communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills; able to work efficiently with clients and teams
Resilient under pressure, a team player, and willing to travel for project assignments as needed
Work on real GIS projects across logistics, address databases, and spatial analysis — projects that go live and get used
Build hands-on experience across the full stack: ArcGIS/QGIS/SuperMap, PostGIS/MySQL, WebGIS platforms, and multi-map-engine integration
Your attention to detail and data rigor are genuinely valued here — accuracy is the heart of what we do
Be part of a fast-growing e-commerce logistics company with a multicultural team
Clear career path with opportunities to grow into senior GIS engineer, project lead, or solution architect roles
Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits
