Job summary

Hytech, a leading management consulting firm with a global footprint, is seeking a Group Finance Manager in Kuala Lumpur. You will lead group finance operations, oversee consolidation, reporting, and team performance, and partner with senior management to drive financial integrity.

You'll manage multi-entity closing cycles, identify efficiencies, and mentor a finance team while coordinating with auditors and external stakeholders in a fast-paced fintech-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/ACCA/CMA a plus.
• 5+ years Big 4 audit with multi-entity or regional consolidation experience.
• Experience in financial services or fintech preferred.
• Leadership experience managing a small finance team.
• Proficient in Excel/Word and familiar with accounting software.
• Analytical, meticulous and highly organized.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be a strong team player.
• Fluent in English and Chinese.
• Willingness to leverage AI tools to improve efficiency and quality.

About the Role

As the Group Finance Manager, you will lead the Group Finance Operations, overseeing group-wide financial management, consolidation, reporting, and team performance. You will work closely with senior management to drive financial integrity, efficiency, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead preparation and review of consolidated financial statements for the group
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes across entities

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; professional certificates such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are a plus.
• Experience: 5+ years of progressive Big 4 audit background, including experience managing multi-entity or regional consolidation
• Industry Background: Experience in financial services or fintech is preferred.
• Leadership: Proven experience in managing or leading a small finance team.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiar with accounting software.
• Competencies: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous and highly organized approach.
• Attributes: Ability to take initiative, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and act as a strong team player.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment typical of fintech; genuine interest in or prior exposure to digital assets is a plus
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
• Demonstrates the ability and mindset to leverage AI tools to improve work efficiency, productivity, and quality, while continuously exploring new ways to enhance business impact.
