Job summary

Hytech is seeking an Account Executive to join our fast-growing team. You will handle the full spectrum of accounting, maintain strong internal and external relationships, and ensure high-quality financial data.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or related field, at least 2 years' experience in full sets of accounts or audits, and strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF). English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accountancy, Banking or related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in full sets of accounts or audits; banking/finance exposure is a plus.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP and IF functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and spoken English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Manage full spectrum of accounting including general ledger, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations.
• Oversee monthly close and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Maintain proper accounting records and filing system.
• Manage company forecast and budget.
• Suggest SOP improvements for process efficiency.
• Prepare balance sheet, bank, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Provide variance analysis and highlight issues for follow-up.
• Assist with year-end schedules and liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulators.
• Handle daily operations and ad-hoc management requests.

About the Role

As aAccount Executive, you will be a driven and dedicated member of our fast-growing team.This role is designed for a detail-oriented professional with a proven track record in managing financial accounts.You will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting, ensuring the highest quality of financial data and maintaining strong internal and external relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full spectrum of accounting, including the general ledger, accounts payable, and bank transactions.
• Oversee the periodical financial close process and ensure all monthly accounts and reports are submitted timely.
• Maintain proper accounting records and a structured filing system.
• Manage the company’s forecast and budget.
• Analyze and recommend Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while seeking continuous areas for process improvement.
• Prepare and review balance sheet, bank, and intercompany reconciliations to meet all control requirements.
• Provide variance analysis and financial accounting reports, highlighting issues or outstanding matters for follow-up.
• Assist with the preparation of year-end schedules and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities.
• Handle daily operational matters and undertake ad-hoc assignments assigned by management.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education:Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or equivalent.
• Experience:At least 2 years of working experience in full sets of accounts or audit; experience in Banking and Finance is an added advantage.
• Technical Skills:Good proficiency in MS Excel (specifically Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and IF Functions) and other Microsoft Office programs.
• Soft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.
• Communication:Excellent communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin;Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage due to business needs.
