Job summary

Dynamic Pile Testing Sdn Bhd invites applications for a Geotechnical & Instrumentation Engineer (2 positions) in Malaysia. You will plan and execute foundation testing programmes, supervise PDA, PIT, CS logging, and manage instrumentation on project sites. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical/Structural Engineering is required. Willingness to travel overseas and to Sabah/Sarawak is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute foundation testing programmes.
• Supervise PDA, PIT, Crosshole Sonic Logging, and TTP/TSL tests.
• Plan, supervise and conduct Static Load Tests and BDSLT.
• Carry out Instrumented Test Piles using DFOS, VWSG, load cells, displacement sensors.
• Assist in Lateral Load Tests and other specialised pile testing.
• Configure data acquisition systems and monitoring equipment.
• Process and interpret pile testing and instrumentation data.
• Prepare engineering calculations and technical reports.
• Project coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, and laboratories.
• Plan testing schedules and site activities.

GEOTECHNICAL & INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER (2 POSITIONS)

We a leading specialist in foundation testing, pile instrumentation, and geotechnical engineering services. We provide comprehensive testing solutions for major infrastructure, high rise buildings, bridges, ports, power plants, industrial facilities, and transportation projects throughout Malaysia and overseas.

About the role

This role involves planning and executing foundation testing programmes, supervising various specialised pile testing methods, and managing instrumentation and monitoring systems on project sites.

Key responsibilities

Plan and execute various foundation testing programmes

Supervise and conduct PDA, PIT Tests, Crosshole Sonic Logging, and Thermal Integrity Profiling

Plan, supervise and conduct Static Load Tests and Bi Directional Static Load Tests (BDSLT)

Carry out Instrumented Test Piles using DFOS, VWSG, load cells, displacement sensors, and other instrumentation

Assist in Lateral Load Tests and other specialised pile testing

Configure data acquisition systems and monitoring equipment

Process and interpret pile testing and instrumentation data

Prepare engineering calculations and technical reports

Project Coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, and laboratories

Plan testing schedules and site activities

About you

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering or related disciplines

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

Relevant industrial experience is an advantage but not essential

Strong interest in foundation engineering and geotechnical testing

Good analytical and engineering judgement

Ability to solve technical problems independently and systematically

Willing to work outdoors and travel frequently to project sites

Willing to travel overseas for international projects when required

Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new testing technologies

Ability to communicate with China nationals is an advantage

Willingness to be based in Sabah and Sarawak is an advantage
