Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a geological specialist to lead grade control drilling and supervise diamond and RC drilling for resources. You will perform geological mapping and sampling, and ensure ore routing aligns with geological data.

The role requires strong data interpretation, mapping skills, and familiarity with mining software to support operations and process plant performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in geology or geophysics is required.
• Minimum 3 years of site exploration experience.
• Strong mapping and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out geological activities including grade control drilling, supervising diamond drilling and RC drilling for resources.
• Conduct geological mapping and sampling.
• Monitor mining activities to ensure ores are sent to plant based on geological data.
• Provide geological support to mine operations and process plant.
• Compile and interpret geologic and assay data to assist grade distribution analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out all geological related job including grade control drilling, supervising diamond drilling and RC drilling activity for resources.
• Carry out geological mapping and sampling.
• Monitor mining activities to ensure all ores are sent to plant based on geological data.
• Provide geological support to mine operations and process plant operation.
• Compiles and interprets geologic and assay data that will assist in solving grade distribution question (ore-waste boundaries, dilution).

Requirements

• BS Degree in Applied Geology or Geophysics equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of site experience in exploration (geophysics skills, mapping, and analyzing data).
• Good mapping skills for interpretation of data to identify orebody and extension.
• Capable of utilizing latest computer & software technologies such as Microsoft office products, CAD software, and mining programs such as Vulcan, Surpac, MineSite or Datamine.
