NTT DATA Services in Cyberjaya, Malaysia is seeking a General & Operational Accounting Advisor to handle fixed asset capitalization and depreciation, FAR maintenance, asset accounting, and CAPEX reporting in SAP, aligned with global policies.

The role requires 4–6 years of accounting experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a hybrid work environment with occasional travel to Singapore.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• CA Inter (Intermediate Chartered Accountant) preferred.
• 4-6 years of accounting and MIS experience, generating Invoice & Credit notes.
• Moderate level of experience gained in similar role within a global organization.

Responsabilités

• Asset capitalization and depreciation calculation in SAP with monthly Capex reporting at global level.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register (FAR) with asset life as per global mandate, asset profile id, vendor name, quantity, voucher id and audit requirements.
• Reconcile FAR, general ledger and trial balance on a monthly basis.
• Create a query report where operating-wise trial balance can be downloaded.
• Review direct voucher bookings in SAP and capitalization of fixed assets, restricting future direct bookings in SAP.
• Analyze and capitalize assets for eligible labor cost and bank interest.
• Maintain Sale Schedule and perform asset sale/scrap disposals accounting and profit/loss calculation on fixed assets.
• Handle Internal and Statutory Audit queries.
• Reconcile CWIP/AUC Ledger and Asset Transfers.
• Recategorization of fixed assets and impairment and lease asset accounting.

Summary

Responsible for fixed asset capitalization & depreciation calculation, FAR maintenance, Asset accounting, reconciliations, Audit support, CAPEX reporting and compliance with global accounting policies

KEY responsibilities

• Asset capitalization and depreciation calculation in SAP along with monthly Capex number & asset movement reporting at global level.
• Improve, update and maintain Fixed Asset Register (FAR) with asset life as per global mandate, asset profile id, vendor name, quantity, voucher id and audit requirements.
• Reconcile FAR, general ledger and trial balance on monthly basis.
• Creating a query report where operating-wise trial balance can be downloaded.
• Review direct voucher booking in SAP and capitalization of fixed assets and restrict direct voucher booking in future in SAP.
• Need to analyses and capitalize assets for eligible labor cost and bank interest.
• Need to maintain Sale Schedule and perform activities for asset sale/scrap disposals and calculation of profit & loss on fixed assets.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS

• Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 4-6 minimum years of experience, Accounting and MIS background, generating Invoice & Credit notes.
• CA Inter (Intermediate Chartered Accountant) preferred.
• Moderate level of experience gained in similar role preferably within a similar global organization.
• Moderate level of financial accounting experience.
• Moderate level of experience working on financial systems / software.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Regularly moves equipment and other hardware up to 25 lbs.
• Frequently move about inside and outside of data center / facility
• Remain stationary for long periods of time.
• Ascend / Descend a ladder and perform duties atop a raised platform.
• Position self in small spaces.
• Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment.

Work conditions & other requirements

• Follow Malaysia working hours; however, occasional flexibility may be required to connect with the Team from different time zone.
• Hybrid arrangement. 2 days in Cyberjaya office rest at remote location with stable internet connection.
• Travel requirement – to Singapore (once every 6 months)
• Exposure to varying temperatures and loud noises.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
