HOD/General Manager, Information Technology
Location: Duopharma Klang & Duopharma Bangi
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and visionary technology leader to drive the Group's Information Technology strategy, digital transformation, and enterprise technology landscape. This role is responsible for overseeing IT governance, enterprise architecture, SAP and enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), and technology investments to support business growth, operational excellence, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
IT Strategy & Digital Transformation
- Develop and execute the Group's IT strategy and technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, innovation, and business performance.
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, cloud computing, and digital solutions.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the IT function.
Enterprise Architecture & Technology Platforms
- Establish and govern the Group's Enterprise Architecture framework and technology standards.
- Ensure enterprise platforms are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with business capabilities.
- Drive technology standardisation, system integration, and enterprise architecture governance.
- Lead technology modernisation initiatives to support long-term business growth.
Infrastructure, SAP & Enterprise Applications
- Provide strategic leadership for IT infrastructure, cloud services, networks, data centres, and end-user computing.
- Oversee SAP ERP and enterprise application strategy, implementation, optimisation, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure business applications remain reliable, secure, and aligned with operational requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement of enterprise systems to enhance business productivity and user experience.
Cybersecurity, Risk & IT Governance
- Develop and implement the Group's cybersecurity strategy, governance framework, and security roadmap.
- Strengthen IT governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and business continuity practices.
- Oversee information security, cyber resilience, disaster recovery, and technology risk management.
- Present technology performance, cybersecurity risks, and strategic recommendations to senior management and the Board.
Technology Portfolio & Vendor Management
- Manage the Group's IT investment portfolio, ensuring projects deliver value, quality, and business outcomes.
- Oversee IT operating and capital budgets, resource planning, and cost optimisation initiatives.Lead strategic sourcing, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
- Monitor project delivery, performance, and benefits realisation across the technology portfolio.
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing IT teams across infrastructure, enterprise applications, SAP, cybersecurity, and operations.
- Build organisational capability through succession planning, talent development, and continuous learning.
- Promote accountability, innovation, customer focus, and operational excellence throughout the IT organisation.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of progressive IT leadership experience, preferably within large or complex organisations.
- Proven experience leading enterprise infrastructure, SAP/ERP, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience managing large-scale IT programmes, strategic technology investments, and cross-functional teams.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Strong expertise in IT strategy, enterprise architecture, SAP ERP, enterprise applications, infrastructure, and cloud technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity, IT governance, risk management, business continuity, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, and emerging technologies.
- Strong financial management, project portfolio management, and vendor management capabilities.
- Excellent strategic planning, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.
