Mills Recruitment is partnering with a leading global home furnishings and custom home solutions company to appoint a General Manager for the Malaysia Branch, based in Puncak Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. You will lead the Malaysia business across retail and project channels, with overall accountability for commercial performance, operations, team development, and long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above; MBA or related qualifications are an advantage.
• 8+ years in home furnishing/building materials/retail with 5+ years in senior/GM level roles.
• Proven experience managing both B2B/project and B2C/retail operations.
• Strong network with property developers, interior design, renovation or project-related businesses in Malaysia.
• Track record in business expansion and building operations in growing markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Malaysia branch's business strategy, annual plans, budgets, and commercial targets.
• Establish and expand the retail business through store development, partner recruitment, channel management, marketing, and sales performance.
• Drive and build project business development with agent networks, property developers, interior design firms, and project partners.
• Build and lead the local team, strengthening recruitment, performance management, processes, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Oversee branch performance across revenue, profitability, market development, and collections.

What You Will Do

• Establish and expand the retail business through store development, partner recruitment, channel management, marketing, and sales performance.
• Drive and build project business development, including agent networks, property developers, interior design firms, and project partners.
• Build and lead the local team, strengthening recruitment, performance management, business processes, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Oversee overall branch performance across revenue, profitability, market development, and collections.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or above; MBA or related qualifications are an advantage.
• 8+ years of experience in home furnishing, building materials, retail, or related industries, with 5+ years in a senior management or General Manager-level role.
• Proven experience managing both B2B/project and B2C/retail business operations.
• Strong commercial network with property developers, interior design, renovation, or project-related businesses in Malaysia.
• Proven track record in business expansion, team building, or establishing operations in a growing market.
