About the role

Eden Group of Companies is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our operations in Langkawi, Kedah. This is a full-time position that offers a significant opportunity to drive business growth, operational excellence and strategic initiatives across our diverse portfolio. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for the overall management and performance of our business unit, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives whilst maintaining profitability and stakeholder satisfaction. This role is based in Langkawi, Kedah and offers the chance to make a tangible impact on a growing organisation.

What you'll be doing

Directing and overseeing all operational activities to ensure efficient and effective business delivery

Developing and implementing strategic business plans aligned with Eden Group's corporate objectives and vision

Managing financial performance, budgets and resource allocation to achieve profitability targets

Leading, motivating and developing a diverse team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability

Establishing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships with clients, partners and regulatory bodies

What we're looking for

10+ years of progressive management experience, with at least 5 years in a General Manager or equivalent senior leadership role

Proven track record of successfully managing diverse business operations and achieving financial targets

Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to translate strategy into operational outcomes

Excellent leadership and team management skills with experience building and developing high-performing teams

Demonstrated financial management expertise including budgeting, forecasting and P&L responsibility

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities at all organisational levels

Experience in business development and identifying new growth opportunities

Knowledge of regulatory compliance and governance frameworks relevant to the business sector

Problem-solving capabilities with a pragmatic, results-oriented approach

Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Commerce, Management or a related discipline is preferred

A Master 's in Business Administration is an added advantage.

Experience within the hospitality, tourism, real estate or retail sectors would be advantageous
