Private Advertiser in Langkawi is seeking an experienced, commercially driven leader to oversee operations at a premier tourism attraction. The role covers overall business performance, visitor experience, safety and team leadership.

You will develop strategies to grow visitors, revenue and profitability, manage budgets and assets, lead sales and marketing partnerships, and report on performance to senior management. Based in Langkawi, weekend and peak period oversight is required.

An established tourism entity is seeking an experienced and commercially driven leader to oversee its operations in Langkawi. The successful candidate will be responsible for overall business performance, operational excellence, visitor experience and team leadership, while driving sustainable growth and strengthening the entity's position as a preferred tourism destination.

Key responsibilities

Lead the overall operations of the tourism attraction, ensuring a safe, efficient and high-quality visitor experience.

Develop and execute business strategies to increase visitor numbers, revenue and profitability.

Oversee budgets, cost management, resource allocation and capital expenditure, with accountability for financial performance.

Lead sales, marketing and promotional initiatives, including partnerships with travel agents, tour operators, hotels and tourism bodies.

Identify opportunities to grow ticketing revenue, retail sales, group bookings, events and other income streams.

Ensure the upkeep of facilities, assets and exhibits through effective maintenance and operational planning.

Maintain appropriate safety, security, emergency response and regulatory compliance standards.

Build and lead a capable team, setting clear performance targets and promoting service excellence.

Manage relationships with relevant authorities, business partners and other stakeholders.

Provide management with timely reporting on financial results, operational performance, risks and business opportunities.

About you

A recognised qualification in Business Administration, Tourism, Hospitality Management or a related discipline.

At least 10 years of relevant experience in tourism, hospitality, leisure attractions or a comparable service business, including substantial experience in a senior management role.

Demonstrated ability to manage business operations, budgets and profit and loss performance.

Strong commercial judgement, with a track record of driving revenue growth and improving customer experience.

Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience managing a visitor attraction or a multidisciplinary operational team would be an advantage.

Willingness to be based in Langkawi and oversee operations during weekends, public holidays and peak tourism periods, as required.
