Job summary

Career Executive 赛睿人力资源 seeks an experienced Operations Leader for the Malaysia Johor facility. You will oversee production, maintenance, HSSE, processing engineering, and corporate functions including Finance and HR.

Responsibilities include liaising with government authorities, coordinating with supply chain, driving cost optimization, and leading strategic planning from inbound materials to outbound products. APAC operations knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of Malaysia Johor facility including Production, Maintenance, HSSE, Processing Engineering and corporate functions (Finance, HR, Admin).
• Represent the company to government officials and authorities on local policy and applications.
• Coordinate with Feedstock Supply, Sales Ops and Supply Chain to streamline processes.
• Drive cost optimization for production, utilities, manpower and finance charges.
• Lead strategic planning and execution from inbound materials to outbound products along the value chain.
• Develop and implement production strategies to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and startup of new facilities; coordinate with engineering teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to adopt best practices and standards.
• Manage cross-functional teams and align with group culture to improve productivity and targets.
• Establish relationships with government authorities and industry bodies to ensure compliance.

Job description

• 1.To manage and oversee operation of Malaysia Johor facility on Production, Maintenance, HSSE, Processing Engineering and also corporate function such as Finance, HR and administration
• 2.To act as representative of the company to deal with government officials, bureau and authority on local policy, requirement and application
• 3. To co-ordinate and setup working mechanism with function including Feedstock Supply, Sales Operations and Supply chain to streamline and optimize the business processes
• 4.To drive and perform cost optimization for production, utilities, manpower and finance charges
• 5. Lead the strategic planning and execution of operations from incoming materials, production and products outbound along the valve chain, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• 6.Develop and implement comprehensive production strategies to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness while meeting regulatory requirements, industry standards and group safety target.
• 7.Oversee the testing, commissioning, and start-up of new facilities, coordinating with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of equipment and systems.
• 8.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence, including the development and implementation of best practices, processes, and standards.
• 9.Manage cross-functional teams, adopt group culture and value andstreamline operations, improve productivity, and achieve business targets.
• 10.Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government authorities, industry associations, and community partners, to ensure compliance and secure necessary support.
• 11.Champion health, safety, and environmental initiatives, ensuring adherence to local and international regulations and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Job Requirements:

• Preferably in the chemical or oil and gas industry. Experience in managing medium to large-scale operations (300-500)
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach team members to achieve results, and building a high-performance culture.
• Strategic mindset and analytical thinking to develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business objectives and group target
• Understanding of Asia-Pacific plant operation standard and cultural dynamics, with experience in managing diverse teams and operations in the region.
• Merit in experience of planning or construction of chemical facilities or refineries
• Familiarity with continuous process flow, particularly in mid-high pressure hydrotreating process is merit, and a strong focus on operational efficiency and optimization.
• Bacheor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, advanced degree preferred.
