Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree required with 8-10 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience managing large-scale operations in theme parks, attractions, hospitality, tourism, or entertainment.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven General Manager to lead the overall business operations of The TOP Penang. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, operational excellence and an exceptional guest experience.

As the overall business leader and P&L owner, you will lead multiple departments and ensure all commercial, operational and support functions work together to achieve the company's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the overall business performance and profitability of The TOP Penang.

Drive revenue growth across ticketing, attractions, events, venue rentals, leasing, group sales, corporate functions, schools, tourism and other commercial channels.

Develop and execute effective sales, marketing and business development strategies.

Oversee the overall guest experience, customer service and service quality.

Lead and monitor the performance of F&B operations, including revenue, profitability, food cost, service and quality.

Ensure smooth and efficient daily operations across attractions, rides, events and other facilities.

Oversee maintenance, engineering and asset performance to ensure high reliability and minimise operational downtime.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements and operational procedures.

Monitor budgets, P&L performance, costs, financial controls and overall business performance.

Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs and enhance operational efficiency.

Lead, coach and develop Heads of Department and build a high-performance and accountable management team.

Ensure effective collaboration between Sales & Marketing, Operations, F&B, Finance, Maintenance, Customer Service, Security and other functions.

Develop commercial partnerships and explore new business and revenue opportunities.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Hospitality, Tourism, Management or a related discipline.

Minimum 8-10 years of relevant management experience, preferably in a senior leadership role.

Proven experience managing a large-scale operation in the theme park, attractions, hospitality, tourism, entertainment, leisure, retail or F&B industry.

Strong experience in P&L management, revenue growth and cost control.

Demonstrated ability to lead multiple departments and manage senior management or Heads of Department.

Strong commercial acumen and financial management skills.

Excellent leadership, people management and stakeholder management skills.

Results-oriented, hands-on and able to make sound business decisions in a fast-paced environment.
