This GM role owns end-to-end P&L for our Penang operation. You will manage existing key accounts, develop new recycling channels across OEM, EMS, energy storage, plastic & rubber manufacturers, lead the local team, oversee factory dismantling, warehousing, logistics, and ensure full compliance with Malaysia environmental, safety and cross-border transport regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Account Management

Drive market expansion across Malaysia and Southeast Asia for ITAD, e-waste, energy storage equipment, industrial scrap, plastic & rubber recycling.

Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with OEM/electronics brands, EMS factories, battery manufacturers, recycling traders and downstream processors.

Nurture existing major clients and secure repeat long-term orders.

Operation & P&L Ownership

Full P&L responsibility for Penang site: revenue, cost control and profit target delivery.

Prepare annual budget, quarterly rolling forecast and regular business updates for group headquarters.

Oversee factory dismantling production, warehouse, logistics and site cost optimisation.

Team Building & People Management

Lead the current local team, own recruitment, training, KPI performance and incentive scheme for key positions.

Scale the team alongside business growth.

Compliance, Health & Safety

Ensure factory operations comply with Malaysia environmental laws, OSHA and cross-border waste shipment regulations.

Build safety culture, target zero major safety incidents and environmental violations.

Requirements

Age below 50, stable career track record.

Minimum 10 years working experience in manufacturing, e-waste / ITAD / recycling industry; minimum 5 years in senior leadership role (General Manager, Factory Head, Operation Director, Country Manager).

Proven experience working with OEM, EMS, battery factories, dismantling plants or recyclable raw material buyers. Familiar with Southeast Asia e-waste, battery, plastic rubber recycling supply chain is a strong advantage.

Strong commercial negotiation, contract management and cost analysis capability. Able to solve operational constraints with limited resources.

Excellent stakeholder management: align expectations from customers, suppliers, local team and group HQ.
