Job summary

Air Liquide Malaysia, Petaling Jaya, seeks a Team Lead, General Ledger to supervise a regional GL team across APAC affiliates, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while driving process improvements.

The role demands 5+ years in SSC/GBS finance, leadership of at least four team members, and strong knowledge of local and international accounting standards. Hybrid work and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Fluent in English.
• At least 5 years of experience in an SSC/GBS finance & accounting environment.
• Minimum of 4 team members of people management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, local and international standards.

Responsibilities

• Journal review and sanity checks for accuracy in accounting treatment.
• IRIS reporting: verify P&L, BS, and cash flow with justified comments.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and item cleanup.
• Ensure balance sheet integrity through timely journal adjustments and controls.
• Support internal and external audits with financial statements and commentaries.
• Lead centralization initiatives and finance process improvements.
• Manage a portfolio across South East Asia.
• Provide guidance on ad-hoc journal entries, cost allocations and invoice processing.
• Validate and approve Oracle AME, Gideons DN, and CN invoices.
