Job summary

Air Liquide ALBS in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced General Ledger Team Lead to drive accurate financial reporting and process optimization across APAC. You will lead a team, ensure timely close, and uphold strong internal controls.

You will oversee journal reviews, reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity while partnering with affiliates. Hybrid work and a dynamic multinational environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in an SSC/GBS finance & accounting environment.
• Minimum of 4 team members of people management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, local and international accounting standards.
• Strong teamwork, initiative and ownership of duties.

Responsibilities

• Journal Review: sanity checks for accounting treatment and ensure supporting docs are attached.
• IRIS Reporting: verify P&L, BS, Cash Flow figures and ensure logical, justified comments.
• Reconciliations: oversee balance sheet reconciliations and lead cleanup for hard-close.
• Balance Sheet Integrity: maintain integrity through timely journal adjustments.
• Audit Support: assist with audit requests and commentaries for internal/external audits.
• Centralization & Process Improvement: develop reporting processes for centralization and drive cost efficiency.
• Team Leadership: manage a portfolio across South East Asia and lead Finance Process Improvement projects.
• Non-Financial Controller: guide on ad-hoc journals, cost allocations and invoicing processes.
