Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled General Ledger Accountant to manage daily GL activities and support month-end close. You will handle journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany activities, and consolidation processes, while ensuring accurate financial reporting.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, a solid foundation in accounting principles, and proficiency with SAP. You will contribute to process improvements and collaborate with finance teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA).
• 3–5 years of experience in general ledger or accounting roles.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is preferred.
• Detail oriented with analytical mindset and good time management.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily GL activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
• Reconcile GL accounts (bank, intercompany, balance sheet).
• Support month-end and year-end close with analysis and reports.
• Prepare elimination entries, consolidation reports, and cash flow statements.
• Manage fixed assets, prepayment schedules, and payroll/flux analysis.
• Handle foreign currency revaluation and intercompany billing.
• Maintain ERP master data: COA, departments, projects, and exchange rates.
• Assist with tax filings, US surveys, and audit requests.
• Drive process improvements and collaborate with other finance functions.
• Perform tasks needed by company which adhere to company policy to ensure company's business operation.
