Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced General Ledger Lead to oversee GL operations, month-end close, and accurate financial reporting. The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to lead a small finance team.

You will review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis, while supporting budgeting, audits, and process improvements in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in General Ledger and financial reporting, with team lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of month-end closing, financial reporting, SAP, IFRS/MFRS, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Good analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead General Ledger (GL) operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and provisions.
• Prepare and review management accounts, financial statements, and variance analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, tax computation, and audit activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
• Drive process improvements and support finance-related projects and ad-hoc tasks.
