Job summary

Chef Wan Group Of Restaurants is seeking a skilled Accountant to maintain the general ledger, post journal entries, and support month-end close processes in a fast-paced environment.

You will ensure IFRS/MFRS compliance, assist in financial statements, and support audits while collaborating with AP/AR teams to ensure data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or general ledger.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/accounting systems (FACT, SQL, etc.) preferred.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger accounts accurately and timely.
• Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, adjustments, provisions, prepayments, etc.).
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
• Reconcile bank statements, intercompany balances, and subsidiary ledgers with the general ledger.
• Ensure transactions are recorded in compliance with IFRS / MFRS / local accounting standards.
• Assist in preparation of financial statements, audit schedules, and statutory reporting.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Monitor and review accounting transactions to ensure proper classification of income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
• Ensure timely submission of management reports and financial analysis.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, and other teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
• Participate in system improvements, process enhancements, and internal control compliance
