RBC Shared Services Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks an FX Front Office Production Support specialist to join the global bank's FX trading IT team. You will support applications used in FX trading, rate aggregation, pricing and electronic platforms, working closely with front office users and IT colleagues.
Must have IT experience in financial services, front-office trading IT environment, FX Spot/Forwards, Linux/Unix, pricing issues and ECN connectivity.
An exciting opportunity to join an FX Front Office support team in a major North American bank, supporting both front office users and our progressive eFX programme.
This role is within the FX Production Services group. The group is responsible for:
Supporting IT solutions for various business lines globally including FX, Money Market, STIR and Options
Offering technical expertise and support for the systems used
Managing and resolving incidents and outages
Managing requests for changes, system releases and capacity planning
Disaster recovery, planning and execution
Be responsible for support of all applications used in the FX trading and eCommerce areas including position management and treasury trading systems, electronic trading platforms application support, rate aggregation, pricing, distribution, low latency position keeping and auto-hedging systems. The team are points of contact for requests for new/different sources, exchanges etc
Take a proactive approach to managing the production plant, including ownership of monitoring, the knowledge base, and documenting new procedures and application on-boarding runbooks
Assist as point of contact between IT and business management for organising events such as upgrades and scheduled downtime
Miscellaneous support of existing and new systems to complement the helpdesk service already in place
Solid experience in IT to include minimum 2 years of experience in the financial industry
Previous experience of working in a front office trading IT environment
Previous experience in a front office support role engaging directly with Sales and Trading desks
Good product understanding of FX Spot and Forwards, NDF’s, FX options and simple MM products
Experience in Solaris Unix / Linux / Windows environments, basic scripting, Sybase SQL
Exposure to e-commerce trading systems – understanding and troubleshooting of pricing issues, integration of clients, ECN connectivity logic and flow
Demonstrated understanding of ITIL processes
Experience of implementing trading systems both 3rd party and in-house developed would be advantageous
Experience or knowledge of any of the following systems would be of benefit – Murex, TradeHub LightningFX, D3, Q/KDB, ITRS/Geneos, MarketFactory
Experience of integrating and support of deal feeds into trading systems would be benefical
