Job summary

KK Group of Companies (Retail) is seeking a dedicated Shop Assistant for KK SUPER MART in Maluri, Kuala Lumpur. This full-time role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service and keeping store standards high while ensuring smooth daily operations.

You will interact with customers, assist with product location, handle transactions, and maintain cleanliness. The position offers on-site work, staff discounts, and opportunities for training and progression within the group.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and positive customer interaction.
• Friendly, approachable attitude with commitment to service.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work in a team.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift items as needed.
• Basic numeracy and familiarity with POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Providing friendly, helpful and professional service to all customers whilst maintaining a positive attitude and demeanour.
• Operating the point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently, processing customer transactions with care and precision.
• Stocking shelves and product displays with neatness and attention to merchandising standards.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the store, including regular tidying and restocking of areas.
• Assisting customers with product location, information and recommendations based on their needs.
• Handling customer enquiries and complaints professionally and escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Monitoring stock levels and informing supervisors of items requiring replenishment.
• Following all company policies, procedures and health and safety regulations.
• Supporting team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive working environment.
