We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer / Technical Lead who can take technical leadership of both our Backend and Web teams while still being hands-on with development. This should be a technical leadership role rather than a pure management role. You will be capable of leading the teams but can also go into the codebase, understand existing systems, identify technical problems, propose better solutions, and contribute directly when required.

Key responsibilities

Take ownership of technical architecture and technical design discussions

Conduct meaningful code reviews and enforce development standards

Mentor and provide technical direction to Backend and Web developers

Guide developers and improve engineering standards

Reduce technical debt and ensure the Backend and Web teams are delivering scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions

Troubleshoot production, performance, scalability, and reliability issues

Work closely with Mobile, DevOps/Infrastructure, QA, Product, and other engineering teams

Contribute directly to the codebase when required

About you

Strong hands-on experience with Golang and Node.js

Good experience with PostgreSQL, database design, query optimization, and migrations

Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, WebSockets, and backend architecture

Experience with AWS, Docker, CI/CD, GitHub workflows, monitoring, and cloud-based environments

Strong troubleshooting skills for production, performance, scalability, and reliability issues

Strong communication skills and able to communicate in both Chinese and English

Previous experience as a Senior Engineer, Tech Lead, Lead Developer, or similar technical leadership role

Ideally 6+ years of software development experience

Experience with IoT, real-time systems, MQTT, Redis, Firebase/Firestore, WebRTC, or high-traffic consumer applications would be an advantage
