Jora Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a versatile Full Stack Developer with strong Java, Spring Boot and React.js to join our technology team. You will design, develop, test and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing web applications across frontend and backend.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performing web applications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on full-stack development.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot expertise.
• Proven React.js experience.
• RESTful API development and integration.
• Experience with MSSQL, PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL.
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of modern frontend tooling like Webpack and Babel.
• Experience mentoring junior developers desirable.
• Cloud technology experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.js.
• Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs with a focus on performance, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with architects and product owners on scalable and modular system designs.
• Develop responsive and accessible user interfaces using React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Translate wireframes and design prototypes into functional UI components.
• Work with databases including MSSQL, PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Use testing frameworks such as JUnit.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers when required.

• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.

• Experience with MSSQL, PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL databases.

• Knowledge of modern frontend tooling such as Webpack and Babel.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with microservices architecture.

• Experience with event‑driven systems.

• Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Experience with Figma and understanding of UI/UX flows and component design.

• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, or similar testing frameworks.

• Understanding of application and software security best practices.

• Knowledge of design patterns, clean code, and software architecture principles.

• Experience mentoring junior developers.

• Cloud technology experience is an advantage.

Education

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Assessment Requirement

Candidates will be required to complete Java and React.js assessments.

Nationality

Malaysian nationality is preferred.

Candidates must be based in or willing to work in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
