Job summary

The role supports business decisions at all levels and requires strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in full set accounting, solid knowledge of Malaysian tax rules, and proficiency in Excel and accounting software.

Qualifications

• A qualification in Accounting, such as a Diploma in Accounting, Professional certification (ACCA, LCCI, AAT or equivalent) or relevant tertiary qualification.
• Proven experience of a minimum 2–4 years in full set accounting, bookkeeping or similar accounting functions.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to use these tools to manage complex financial data.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger management and financial statement preparation.
• Solid understanding of Malaysian tax regulations and statutory compliance requirements.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external parties.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding professional accounting standards.
• Experience with payroll processing and staff-related accounting functions is desirable.
• Familiarity with audit procedures and statutory compliance documentation would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Recording and categorising all financial transactions in the general ledger with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements, cash books and ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and payment coordination.
• Processing payroll transactions and maintaining employee payroll records in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Preparing trial balances and identifying and correcting discrepancies or errors.
• Compiling financial statements including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
• Conducting month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure accurate financial records.
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation and supporting schedules for all accounting transactions.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Assisting with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Preparing management accounts and financial reports for senior stakeholders.

About the role

We are seeking a Full Set Account professional to join SOONHUP LICHENG SDN. BHD. in Kulai, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity and compliance of our organisation. As a Full Set Account professional, you will be responsible for managing comprehensive accounting functions, from initial data capture through to the preparation of final accounts. This position is fundamental to ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting informed business decision-making across the company.

What you'll be doing
