Job summary

EA SPORTS FC Mobile team in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Software Engineer II to drive development of high-performance mobile web interfaces and client-side applications.

You will own features end-to-end, collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining code quality and fast user experiences.

The role emphasizes frontend architecture, responsive UI, and integration with backend services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering in modern web app development.
• Deep hands-on proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5/CSS3, and responsive UI architecture.
• Ability to work across the tech stack and adapt to feature needs.
• Strong track record in optimizing client rendering and memory efficiency on mobile browsers.
• Experience with RESTful API integration and automated testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Feature Ownership & Tech Design: define UI state, API contracts, and task breakdowns for complex web modules.
• Frontend Performance: optimize rendering, memory use, and frame rates for mobile browsers.
• Fullstack Versatility: contribute to fullstack workflows and backend API integrations when needed.
• Telemetry & RCA: debug cross-layer issues and provide durable fixes with clear root-cause analysis.
• Code Reviews & Mentorship: enforce TS/React best practices and mentor junior engineers.
