Ghim Li is seeking a skilled Colour Separation Technician to prepare textile designs for printing. You will create accurate separations using Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDRAW and specialized RIP software, ensuring readiness for various printing methods.
You will review artwork for colour integrity, adjust as needed, and collaborate with printers to maintain consistent colour reproduction across batches. Prior experience in textile printing and colour separation is preferred but not mandatory.
This role involves creating accurate colour separations for textile designs using various software tools and ensuring they are suitable for the chosen printing method. You will organize and prepare artwork based on customer specifications and production requirements, review artwork to identify potential issues, and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper separation and accurate colour representation.
Key responsibilities
Assist in creating accurate colour separations for textile designs using various software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or specialized RIP software)
Ensure that colour separations are suitable for the chosen printing method (screen, digital, sublimation, etc.)
Organize and prepare artwork for colour separation based on customer specifications and production requirements
Review and analyze artwork to identify any potential issues with colours, gradients, or file formats
Make necessary adjustments or corrections to the artwork to ensure proper separation and accurate colour representation
Ensure that all artwork files meet the print-ready specifications required for production
Assist the printing team with ensuring that correct colour separations are used during the actual printing process
Work closely with printers and operators to ensure consistency in colour reproduction across different batches or materials
Provide feedback to the design and printing teams if there are any issues with colour fidelity or accuracy during production
Troubleshoot any problems related to colour mismatch, inconsistencies, or printing defects during the process
About you
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in graphic design, textile design, or a related field is preferred
Previous experience in textile printing, graphic design, or colour separation is preferred but not mandatory
Experience with design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or CorelDRAW
Experience with software ATEX Software & EX9000 Software
Knowledge of colour separation techniques for textile printing
Familiarity with various textile printing methods and materials
Basic knowledge of colour theory, colour matching, and colour correction techniques
