Job summary

Ghim Li is seeking a skilled Colour Separation Technician to prepare textile designs for printing. You will create accurate separations using Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDRAW and specialized RIP software, ensuring readiness for various printing methods.

You will review artwork for colour integrity, adjust as needed, and collaborate with printers to maintain consistent colour reproduction across batches. Prior experience in textile printing and colour separation is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a high school diploma; a degree in graphic/textile design is preferred.
Experience in textile printing and colour separation is preferred but not mandatory.
Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator or CorelDRAW.
Familiarity with ATEX and EX9000 software.
Knowledge of colour theory, colour matching and colour correction.

Responsibilities

Assist in creating accurate colour separations for textile designs using various software.
Ensure colour separations are suitable for the chosen printing method.
Organize and prepare artwork based on customer specifications.
Review artwork to identify potential issues with colours, gradients, or file formats.
Make adjustments to ensure proper separation and accurate colour representation.
Ensure all artwork files meet print-ready specifications.
Assist the printing team to ensure correct colour separations are used.
Collaborate with printers to ensure consistent colour reproduction across batches.
Provide feedback to design and printing teams on colour fidelity.
Troubleshoot colour mismatch or printing defects.
