Job summary

Tap Growth ai in Malaysia, Johor, is seeking a dedicated Textile Colorist to develop and control textile colors in line with customer requirements and approved standards. You will support color development, dyeing trials, and recipe adjustments while ensuring consistent color quality across production.

The role involves close collaboration with Production, QA/QC, R&D, and Merchandising, maintaining accurate color records, and following SOPs, safety, and environmental requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Textile, Color Chemistry, Chemistry, or related field.
• Experience in textile dyeing or color matching is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of dyeing processes, color theory, and textile materials.
• Familiarity with spectrophotometers and color-matching systems.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and match textile colors per customer specs and approved samples.
• Prepare lab dips, color swatches, and dyeing trials.
• Adjust dye formulations for color accuracy and consistency.
• Monitor dyeing to maintain color quality.
• Evaluate color using light boxes and spectrophotometers.
• Troubleshoot color discrepancies and implement fixes.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and match textile colors according to customer requirements, color standards, and approved samples.
• Prepare and conduct lab dips, color swatches, and dyeing trials.
• Adjust dye formulations and recipes to achieve required color accuracy and consistency.
• Monitor and control the dyeing process to maintain consistent color quality.
• Conduct color evaluation using light boxes, spectrophotometers, and color-matching equipment.
• Troubleshoot color discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Work closely with Production, QA/QC, R&D, and Merchandising teams to resolve color-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records of color recipes, dye formulations, test results, and approved standards.
• Ensure colors meet customer specifications and company quality standards.

Qualifications & Skills
