Job summary

MVC Resources in Malaysia is seeking an experienced forwarding professional to manage and monitor import operations. The role involves coordinating with government authorities and clients to ensure compliant and efficient service.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of customs procedures, GST, and related regulations, with at least 5 years in a similar role. English proficiency is an added advantage for cross-border dealings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in forwarding/import operations.
• Strong knowledge of Customs Act, customs clearance, GST and import/export procedures.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage, expedite & monitor Forwarding Import operations to ensure effective and efficient forwarding services.
• Assist OGA Department in business development & dealings with government authorities.
• Audit & monitor all operations of subcontractors, associates & agents to ensure compliance with MT quality, service targets & standards.
• Maintain close rapport with clients, port authorities, customs, haulers, transporters and other government agencies (OGA).
• Assist Forwarding Manager, when necessary, to address customer inquiries and support sales on forwarding service, tariff codes identification & government regulations.

• Manage, expedite & monitor entire Forwarding Import operations to ensure effective & efficient forwarding services rendered for all inbound shipments.
• To Assist OGA Department in business development & dealings with issues pertaining with government
• authorities.
• Audit & monitor all operations of the company’s appointed subcontractors, associates & agents to ensure compliance with MT quality, service target & standards.
• To maintain close rapport with clients, Port authorities, customs, haulers, transporters and other government agencies (OGA).
• To assist Forwarding Manager, when necessary to attend to customers’ enquiries and support sales team on forwarding service, tariff codes identification & other government regulations.
• To ensure smooth, efficient and professional running of Forwarding Department.

Requirements

• Must Possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate
• Diploma, Professional Degree, Logistic/Transportation or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in the related field.
• Well versed mainly with Customs Act Customs Clearance, Classification of Goods, Procedures &
• Documentations, GST, Import & Export Procedure, Treasury Exemptions, Port Handling, etc.
• Possess excellent organization, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English an added advantage.
