Qualifications

• 3–5 years of FPV drone development and UAV integration.

We are seeking an experienced FPV Drone Systems Specialist / UAV Development Engineer responsible for the design, development, integration, testing, optimisation, and operation of custom FPV drone systems and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) platforms.

The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in developing complete drone and UAV solutions, including system design, hardware selection, assembly, programming, configuration, flight testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement. The role also includes developing technical documentation, engineering procedures, and providing knowledge transfer to support UAV technology implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, assemble, integrate, and test custom FPV drone systems, including frame selection, propulsion systems, motors, ESCs, flight controllers, batteries, radio systems, FPV video systems, GPS, telemetry, and supporting electronics.
• Develop and optimise UAV platforms for various applications, including airframe integration, navigation systems, communication systems, payload integration, autonomous capabilities, system validation, and operational readiness.
• Configure, programme, and optimise flight control systems using Betaflight, INAV, and ArduPilot, including firmware configuration, CLI setup, ESC configuration, receiver integration, GPS setup, telemetry, Blackbox logging, and autonomous flight functions.
• Perform mechanical and electrical integration including soldering, wiring, system testing, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and performance optimisation.
• Conduct drone and UAV performance analysis including thrust-to-weight evaluation, centre of gravity (COG) optimisation, vibration analysis, PID tuning, Blackbox analysis, flight testing, and reliability improvement.
• Configure and troubleshoot FPV communication systems including ExpressLRS, Crossfire, radio systems, antennas, and digital/analog FPV video systems.
• Develop engineering documentation, assembly procedures, maintenance guidelines, testing procedures, and technical standards for drone and UAV systems.
• Provide technical training and knowledge transfer covering FPV drone development, UAV system integration, programming, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and flight operations.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years of practical experience in FPV drone development and UAV system integration.
• Proven experience designing, building, configuring, tuning, and troubleshooting custom FPV drones.
• Strong knowledge of UAV systems, flight controllers, propulsion systems, communication systems, telemetry, GPS, and FPV technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Betaflight, INAV, ArduPilot, BLHeli, ExpressLRS, CRSF, and related UAV technologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and technical training capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in industrial UAV applications such as inspection, mapping, surveillance, or autonomous missions.
• Advanced FPV racing or freestyle flight experience.
