Job summary

Altera in Penang, Malaysia seeks a Senior FPGA Architect to lead the FPGA IP software team and drive the development of IPs for 5G and beyond. You will design, validate, and optimize RTL, coordinate with wireless system solutions, and mentor engineers to deliver high-quality FPGA IP software.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s or master’s in CS/EE with 7+ years' experience, strong O-RAN/eCPRI knowledge, and hands-on FPGA tool proficiency (Quartus, Platform Designer, Questa or VCS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS/EE or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of O-RAN and eCPRI standards; hands-on FPGA development and verification.
• Experience with FPGA tools and 3GPP 4G/5G standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages a team of FPGA IP software development engineers, validation engineers, and architects.
• Leads technical discussions with key industrial customers and partners.
• Drives team results with clear goals, accountability, and performance management.
