Job summary

Altera Corporation seeks an experienced FPGA IP Architect to design and lead development of ORAN/eCPRI/IP-based solutions for 5G networks. You will guide architecture discussions with key customers and direct a team of FPGA IP software and validation engineers.

You will enable teams with clear goals, coach staff, and drive results while aligning with Altera values and a productive work environment in Penang, Malaysia.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant FPGA/IP software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of ORAN and eCPRI standards.
• Hands-on hardware design and RTL development experience.
• Experience with IP-level simulation and hardware validation.
• Familiarity with 3GPP 4G/5G standards is a plus.
• Proficiency with FPGA development and verification tools: Quartus, Platform Designer, Questa Sim, and VCS.

Responsibilities

• Architect FPGA IPs for 5G and related networks and lead technical discussions with customers.
• Direct and manage a team of FPGA IP software development engineers, validation engineers, and architects.
• Coach teams, develop talent, and drive performance through clear goals and accountability.
• Collaborate with Wireless System Solutions to deploy IP architectures.
• Create a productive work environment and exemplify Altera values.
