Job summary

AMD in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Global Operations Finance (GOQ Finance) team. The role supports financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and operational analysis across manufacturing, supply chain, inventory and CapEx, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive insights and improve performance.

You will contribute to month-end and quarter-end close, variance analysis, and the development of financial models and dashboards.

Qualifications

Finance background with focus on cost accounting and FP&A.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
Experience with Power BI or analytics tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support quarterly forecasts, AOP, and long-range planning.
Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, and engineering for financial analysis.
Manage forecasting and reporting processes and identify risks and opportunities.
Perform variance analysis vs forecast, budget, and prior periods.
Prepare financial reports and management reviews.
Enhance models, dashboards, and automated reporting.
Ensure compliance and internal controls.
Participate in special projects to improve efficiency.
