Job summary

Ak land Sdn Bhd in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, is hiring an Electrician Lorry to maintain and repair electrical systems across our fleet of lorries and commercial vehicles. This full-time role emphasizes hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced transport environment.

The ideal candidate has a recognised electrical qualification or apprenticeship and experience with automotive electrical systems, diagnostic tools, and wiring diagrams, plus strong safety awareness and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical qualification or apprenticeship completion in vehicle electrical systems or similar discipline.
• Proven experience as an electrician in automotive or heavy vehicle sector.
• Sound knowledge of electrical theory and 12V/24V systems used in lorries.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good manual dexterity and physical fitness for working on vehicles.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Valid driving licence (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in lorry and commercial vehicle systems.
• Install, maintain and upgrade electrical components including wiring, batteries, alternators, starters and lighting systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicle electrical systems.
• Test electrical systems using diagnostic equipment and multimeters.
• Replace faulty electrical parts and components to industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations when working with electrical systems.
• Communicate with drivers and fleet managers regarding vehicle condition and required repairs.
• Keep work areas clean, organised and safe at all times.
