Job summary

Scentium (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd, a flavour division of the Iberchem Group, is seeking a Food Scientist (R&D Application Lab Executive) to lead flavour development and application in product trials.

You will evaluate flavours, communicate profiles, and collaborate with sales, marketing and lab teams to meet client briefs. The role requires a Bachelor's in Food Science/Technology and at least 3 years in related flavour work, with strong sensory skills and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science / Food Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years working experience in related field.
• Experience from food ingredients/flavours company is an advantage.
• Good olfactory/sensory skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Team player with initiative and ability to meet timelines.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flavour collections and knowledge of raw materials and sensory evaluation.
• Develop new product applications and concepts per customer requirements.
• Collaborate with flavourist, sales, marketing and lab teams to select and create flavours for customers.
• Responsible for applying flavours to trial food products.
• Keep up-to-date with flavour trends and communicate profiles effectively.
• Evaluate new creations and existing market products by smelling, tasting and describing them.
• Bridge creation and marketing by managing projects and client briefs.
