Job summary

Scentium (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Halal & Regulatory Executive to manage the Halal Assurance System and regulatory compliance across HAS, GMP, HACCP and related certifications. You will collaborate with Quality, R&D, Purchasing and external bodies to ensure audit readiness.

The role requires 1–2 years in Halal applications and strong knowledge of Halal and Kosher standards, with attention to detail and robust documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry or related field.
• 1–2 years of Halal applications, renewals and audits in food/flavor/ingredients/manufacturing.
• Experience with food safety management systems and audits.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing Halal (JAKIM & JAIS) and Kosher certifications.
• Review raw materials, ingredients, processing aids, and packaging for Halal and Kosher compliance.
• Coordinate Halal certification applications, renewals, and surveillance audits.
• Maintain Halal Assurance System (HAS) documentation, procedures and records.
• Conduct internal Halal audits and monitor corrective actions.
• Organize Halal Committee meetings and follow up on action items.
• Provide Halal awareness training to employees.
• Address customer inquiries related to Halal certification and compliance.
• Familiar with myHalal ingredients and myehalal system.
• Liaise with JAKIM, JAIS, Rabbi, supplier, customer on Halal/Kosher matters.
• Ensure facility operations comply with Halal, Kosher and GMP.
• Maintain and update Kosher certification records and product listings.

Job Summary

The Halal & Regulatory Executive is responsible for managing and maintaining thecompany's Halal Assurance System (HAS), regulatory compliance, food safetycertifications, and customer documentation requirements. The role oversees Halal, Kosher, GMP, HACCP, and FSSC 22000 systems while ensuringall raw materials, products, and processes comply with applicable regulatoryand certification requirements. The incumbent will work closely with Quality,R&D, Purchasing, Production, and external certification bodies to supportcontinuous compliance and audit readiness.

Halal and Kosher Compliance Responsibilities

• Assist inmanaging and maintaining Halal (JAKIM & JAIS) and Kosher certificationin accordance with relevant certification bodies.


• Assist inreviewing and approving raw materials, ingredients, processing aids, andpackaging materials for Halal and kosher compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degreein Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry or related field.

Experience

• 1–2 years ofexperience in Halal application, renewal and audit within the food,flavor, ingredient or manufacturing industry.


• Experience withfood safety management systems and audit activities.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledgeof Halal certification requirements and Halal Assurance Systems.


• Understanding ofKosher certification principles and requirements.
