Job summary

Public Mutual Berhad seeks a credit analyst to evaluate fixed income securities, monitor issuers and industry developments, and provide investment recommendations. The role involves preparing cash flow projections and impact analysis to support investment decisions.

The candidate should hold a degree or professional qualifications in accounting/finance/investment/economics, with CFA as an added advantage and at least 2 years' experience in fixed income or related fields.

Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualifications in Accounting/ Finance/ Investment/ Economics or related fields.
• CFA qualification would be an added advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in fixed income or investment-related field.

Responsibilities

• To perform credit analysis on fixed income securities and to monitor developments on issuers/ industries
• To prepare profit and loss accounts/ cashflow projections and to perform sensitivity analysis on cashflow projections
• To monitor issuers' results/ audited accounts and to update projections against the actual results
• To monitor and assess significant impact of any announcement/ credit report issued by the rating agencies
• To monitor corporate developments on the issuers and industries
• To prepare recommendation reports on new investments to support the investment decision

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) would be an added advantage
