For this role, we are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable oil and gas company operating in Malaysia. The Fitter position is crucial to ensuring precision in fabrication work, preparing structures for welding, and supporting large-scale project execution. This role is ideal for individuals with hands‑on experience in fitting and assembly who are ready to contribute to high‑quality fabrication projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fabrication and engineering drawings accurately.
  
• Cut, fit, and assemble structural and piping components prior to welding.
  
• Mark and measure materials for cutting, shaping, and fitting.
  
• Align, clamp, and secure workpieces in preparation for welding.
  
• Fit‑up joints, plates, and pipes according to project requirements.
  
• Collaborate closely with welders, markers, supervisors, and foremen.
  
• Ensure all tasks are carried out in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in fitting work within the fabrication or oil & gas industry.
  
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
