Job summary

Boost Bank in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Risk Analyst to support the Financial Risk Management function by monitoring, analyzing, and reporting the bank’s risk profile to comply with regulatory requirements such as BNM/Basel and internal risk appetite.

You will assist in monitoring exposures across liquidity, market, capital, and credit risk; prepare risk reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders; track limits and escalate breaches; and help automate routine reports using Excel, SQL, or Python,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field as listed.
• 2+ years of experience in banking, finance, risk or analytics.
• Knowledge of risk identification, assessment and frameworks.
• Basic understanding of liquidity, market and credit risk.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas; VBA/SQL/Python a plus).
• Statistical software coding skills are an advantage.
• Willingness to learn and take guidance.
• Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.
• Ability to analyze data and identify trends or inconsistencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring risk exposures across liquidity, market, capital and credit risk.
• Support preparation of risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
• Track risk limits and escalate breaches or irregularities.
• Assist in gathering and validating data for regulatory reporting (BNM submissions).
• Perform risk analysis (trend analysis, variance analysis, stress scenario inputs).
• Support maintenance of risk models, templates, and documentation.
• Participate in risk reviews, audits, and compliance checks.
• Collaborate with business units to collect required data and clarify risk-related information.
• Assist in automating routine risk reports and data processes using Excel, SQL, or other analytics tools.
• Perform scenario testing or stress testing based on the bank’s framework.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure data quality.
