Qualifications

• Degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or similar.
• Actuarial qualification or progress toward qualification.
• Significant IFRS 17 / MFRS 17 experience in life insurance or takaful.
• Strong understanding of CSM, BEL, RA and reporting.
• Familiarity with Malaysian regulatory environment and Group reporting.
• Proven experience leading actuarial teams and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the IFRS 17 valuation team to build technical capability.
• Provide guidance on MFRS 17 concepts, including CSM and risk adjustment.
• Oversee end-to-end IFRS 17 valuation and reporting for timeliness and accuracy.
• Ensure robust valuation methodologies, assumptions, and disclosures.
• Maintain IFRS 17 frameworks with strong BAU reporting controls.
• Communicate valuation insights clearly to Finance, IT, and Management.
