Job summary

OUS Group in Kuala Lumpur invites a Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to drive cost-focused insights and data-driven recommendations. You will collect and validate cost data, perform P&L deep-dives, and partner with leaders to cut expenses while improving forecasting accuracy.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years FP&A experience, a degree in accounting or related professional qualifications, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and Mandarin ability for coordination across teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant FP&A experience, preferably cost-focused.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; SQL is a plus.
• Mandarin language ability required.
• Willingness to travel for business assignments.

Responsibilities

As a Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist, you'll play an integral role in shaping financial decisions through insightful cost analysis and data-driven recommendations. Your mission is to uncover cost-saving opportunities, optimize expenditures, and guide strategic decision-making with clarity and precision. Beyond crunching numbers, you bring curiosity, a proactive mindset, and a relentless pursuit of improvement — always asking "How can we do this better?"

Key responsibilities

Collect, validate, and maintain cost data to support reporting and financial analysis

Perform deep-dive analysis of P&L statements, projects, and operational processes

Evaluate cost behaviors across varying scenarios to highlight savings opportunities

Monitor and reinforce cost control compliance across departments

Partner with functional leads to drive cost-reduction initiatives

Translate complex financial data into accessible insights for non-finance stakeholders

Prepare clear, actionable reports and presentations for senior management

Support cross-functional tasks and contribute to broader organizational goals

About you

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, preferably with a focus on cost

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Experience with SQL is an added advantage

Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills

Ability to read and write Mandarin (as required for role-specific coordination)

Willingness to travel for business-related assignments
