Job summary

Standard Chartered in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Technology Business Manager for Financial Markets. You will partner with Business Management and PMOs to enable Domains and Hives to optimize delivery outcomes through strong governance, budget control, and proactive oversight.

You will drive end-to-end financial stewardship, monitor spend, ensure compliance, and support BRP planning. The role also includes mentorship and continuous improvement across teams and systems.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large technology portfolios with budget ownership.
• Experience in banking/financial markets tech architecture and governance.
• Strong data analysis and financial modelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage contract renewals with DTLs and Hive Leads.
• Ensure ER, SR, and SC Buy processes follow procurement policies.
• Provide regular progress updates to Domain Heads on renewals and procurement.
• Participate in DRB and secure MT approvals and sign-offs.
• Raise purchase orders after DRB approval.
• Allocate invoices to correct cost centres and project codes.
• Submit invoices to Finance on milestone completions.
• Follow up with Finance to ensure timely payments.
• Maintain vendor payment trackers with Hive Leads in governance meetings.
